Area Activities

The Lake Powell area is known for its many outdoor activities and beautiful scenery all year round]  Play a few rounds of golf, try your hand at river rafting, take a boat tour down the river or rent a personal watercraft and explore some of the 96 major canyons in the Lake Powell area.  Other lake activities include swimming, fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, water skiing, hiking and sightseeing. You can even take a scenic flight by plane or helicopter over the lake, which provides a bird's eye view of how far some those 96 canyons extend from the main channel.  Visitors can also visit the Rainbow Bridge (the rainbow turned to stone) revered by many Native Americans, visit the Glen Canyon Dam Dance and swing to live music, tour the John Wesley Powell Museum, or browse the many area shops.
