Location. Looking out over Tucson and the Catalina Mountains from 300 feet above the city lights, the Starr Pass Golf Suites are surrounded by the magic of Arizona's Sonoran Desert. Fourth Avenue is the city's historic shopping and entertainment district, five miles from the resort, and boasts some fantastic restaurants, galleries and more than 50 unique shops. Many of the galleries have moved from the Downtown Arts District into the foothills leaving the area to the bustling nightlife scene.
Hotel Features. Besides sitting on the one of the best golf courses in the city, the condominium-style resort offers guests a number of fabulous amenities, including fitness equipment, a driving range, a putting green and massage treatment rooms. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas and there is a video library on site. The resort provides concierge services, and an activities coordinator organizes hikes and leads arts and crafts Tuesday through Thursday. The Grill serves American cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Guestrooms. The studio and one-bedroom guest suites have kitchenettes with microwave ovens and refrigerators. Other amenities include CD players, VCRs, high-speed Internet access and cable television with premium channels.

Expert Tip. The Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, 11 miles from the resort, is actually a zoo, and one of the best in the country at that. A diverse collection of exhibits with almost invisible boundaries make is seem as though there is nothing between the animals and the visitors. Bears, mountain lions, coyotes, tarantulas and scorpions call the zoo home, with one of the more popular exhibits being the walk-in hummingbird aviary.
