The lakefront Donner Lake Village Resort is set amid pine trees in the old west-style town of Truckee, Calif. The resort is a few blocks away from downtown Truckee, loaded with shops and cafes. Ski resorts Sugar Bowl and Squaw Valley are both within 16 miles of the lodge. The Royal Gorge and ski slopes are 23 miles away.
