Location. Enjoying a convenient downtown setting, Mountain Thunder Lodge is Breckenridge's newest resort. The majesty of the Colorado Rockies sets the backdrop for exciting, all-season mountain adventure. Placed in a wooded setting at the base of Peak 8, the lodge has ski-in/ski-out access and is close to the Blue River and Maggie Pond ice-skating rink. Some of the best skiing and mountain biking trails in the country exist in Breckenridge, and there are an abundance of other recreational opportunities like fishing, hiking, golfing and horseback riding to keep visitors busy. Restaurants and entertainment venues are within one block of the resort and Breckenridge's free shuttle stops just out the front door.
Hotel Features. Mountain Thunder Lodge boasts three outdoor jetted tubs, a heated outdoor pool with heated walkways, health club facilities and a courtesy room with a game area. A grocery and sundries shop is on site and the activities and concierge desk can assist with booking recreation, tours and dry cleaning services. Complimentary parking is offered in a secured and heated underground garage. Guests also have access to ski storage, safe-deposit boxes, business services and 3,000 square feet of meeting space.

Guestrooms. The one- and two-bedroom accommodations feature natural wood highlights, woven rugs and earth-tone slate floors. All units offer full kitchens with refrigerators, ranges, microwave ovens and other common kitchen appliances and utensils. Pena Boulevard (the airport's main exit) merges into Interstate 70 West.
Take Interstate 70 West for 85 miles to Frisco (Exit 203).
Turn left (south) on Highway 9. Take Highway 9 South for nine miles to Breckenridge.
Turn onto North Park Avenue.
Turn into Mountain Thunder Drive.
The sign for Mountain Thunder Lodge is in a forested area.
Pull into the circular drive.
