Visit the building that Butch Cassidy robbed, or the former "Red Light District," where a former brothel has been transformed into a school for the arts. Discover the Wild Wild West by visiting the Telluride Museum, which offers exhibits on home life, mining, technology, and skiing. Take a walking tour and learn about Telluride's earliest residents. Jeep tours are available for those who want to visit old mines and ghost towns. The shopping experience is quite different from a big city experience. Guests will find a serene atmosphere where they can sit back at a coffee house and enjoy nature's beautiful vistas. There are a myriad of shops and galleries to browse through, as well as several sporting goods stores. Discover "Bouldering," a man-made boulder that sits outside of the Conference Center in Mountain Village. Go for a free ride on the gondola, a 12-minute ride that travels from the Victorian mining town to the modern European village. Summer activities include biking, golfing, hot-air ballooning, horseback riding, kayaking, river rafting, and tennis. This area is well-known for its downhill skiing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing in the winter. There are also National Parks to explore, a zoo, music festivals, and a lively nightlife.
