Location. Located on the southern end of Amelia Island, Fla., the Amelia Island Plantation is directly across from the St. Mary's River and adjacent to the historic city of Fernandina, Fla. The resort overlooks the azure blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Intracoastal Waterway to the west, and boasts three-and-one-half miles of beachfront.
Hotel Features. Four 18-hole championship golf courses, including the Royal Amelia Golf Course three miles from the resort entrance, wind throughout the resort. Complimentary shuttle service to Royal Amelia is provided. Scattered throughout the property are 23 pools, 23 clay tennis courts, some with bleacher seating, and a fully staffed health and fitness center with an indoor lap pool. A beauty salon and luxury spa pamper visitors in a 25-room facility. A nature center with groomed trails offers hiking, biking, kayaking and guided Segway tours. Clothing, golf and specialty shops can be found in a small shopping village at the entrance of the resort, and seven sumptuous restaurants are among the many amenities offered at Amelia Island Plantation. Conference facilities feature more than 49,000 square-feet of versatile function space to accommodate banquets, parties and conferences of all sizes. The Beach Club is home to the resort's two large outdoor pools, children's pool, and hot tub.

Guestrooms. The hotel rooms and villas of Amelia Island Plantation provide guests with the finest furnishings. Rooms in the main hotel have mini bars while villas offer fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, spacious living rooms, and washers and dryers. All units have cable television and private balconies or patios. Guests staying in the villas can choose between a view of the ocean or a view of the resort.

Guests staying in a villa (not as part of a group) for four nights or less receive arrival and departure cleaning.
Guests staying five nights or more receive housekeeping every four days.
Additional housekeeping services are available for a surcharge.
Guests also have the option of participating in Project Planet, a voluntary bed linen and towel reuse program designed to save water. Guests can participate in the conservation program by reusing their towels and linens.

Take I-95 North to Exit 373 (Old 129, Route A1A).
Go East 11.2 miles to Amelia Island Parkway, just over the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge.
Go right 3.4 miles to stop sign and turn right.
Go 0.7 miles to flashing light.
Turn left on A1A South.
Go 2.7 miles to resort entrance on the left.


Scenic Route: Take I-95 to Exit 358A.
Go East on Route 105 (North Heckscher Drive) and follow the signs to Amelia Island.
