Location. The Lake Marion Resort Community is located in a natural setting on the southeast corner of a 3,800-acre freshwater lake 15 miles from downtown Kissimmee, Fla. Five golf courses are nearby, including the Diamondback Golf Club, which is set on 240 acres of preserved wetlands, 10 miles from the property. Disney World is 25 miles away.
Features. This vacation community offers villas, condos and town homes surrounding a central clubhouse in a resort setting. The resort features marina docks and boat trailer storage facilities, lighted tennis courts, shuffleboard, fishing, canoeing and kayaking, plus a serene lakeside park with picnic shelters and barbecue grills, beach volleyball and a gazebo on Lake Marion. Complimentary continental breakfasts are offered each morning. Fax and photocopy services are available. The clubhouse offers a heated outdoor pool, spa tubs, a children's pool, playground, ping-pong and pool tables, and tennis, shuffleboard and basketball courts. A fitness center is located at the clubhouse. Pets are permitted in select units with advanced notice and a deposit.

Guestrooms. The Lake Marion Resort Community offers 87 Mediterranean-style units with cable television and VCRs. Villas offer separate bedrooms, patios, and living and dining rooms. All accommodations feature fully equipped kitchens with stoves, refrigerators, microwave ovens, coffeemakers, dishwashers, dishes, glasses and silverware. Washers and dryers are provided.

Expert Tip. For those who wish to get away from the crowds and long lines at the theme parks, horseback riding on nature trails is available approximately nine miles from the resort at Horse World Riding Stables.

From Orlando International Airport:
Approximate distance to the resort is 36 miles.

Take the south exit out of the airport to Boggy Creek Road.
Proceed to Highway 417/The Greenway.
Proceed South on 417 to the John Young Parkway South exit.
Stay on the John Young Parkway for approximately eight miles to the Pleasant Hill Road exit.
Turn left onto Pleasant Hill Road.
Stay on Pleasant Hill Road for approximately eight miles, proceeding through the traffic light at Poinciana Boulevard.
The road curves to the right and the Poinciana sign is on the right.
The road becomes Cypress Parkway.
Proceed to the second traffic light and turn left onto Marigold Avenue.
Stay on Marigold Avenue for approximately four miles until it becomes Poinciana Parkway at a 90-degree right turn.
After approximately four miles, turn right onto Lake Marion Creek Drive.
The entrance to the Lake Marion Resort Community is the second entrance on the left.
