Location. The Colony Beach Resort in Longboat Key, Fla., is located on a pristine, 800-foot white sandy beach fronting the Gulf of Mexico. Tucked away in a secluded enclave of Longboat Key, the Colony Beach Resort is four miles from St. Armand's Circle, featuring specialty food shops, fine ethnic restaurants and live entertainment.
Features. This top-ranked golf resort is comprised of multiple low-rise buildings arranged in clusters along the gulf. The Colony Beach Resort's restaurant serves fresh local seafood dishes and continental-style cuisine, and offers a Sunday champagne brunch. Meeting rooms can accommodate groups ranging from 10 to 250, and complimentary wireless Internet access is available. The resort is known for its spectacular tennis facilities, and offers 21 courts, 10 soft-surface and two lighted. Lessons and clinics are administered by 10 teaching professionals. Guestrooms. Suites at Colony Beach Resort offer furnished balconies with ocean or garden views. Approximate distance to the resort is nine miles.

Exit the airport and turn right onto University Parkway.
Turn left on US-41 South.
Proceed to Gulfstream Avenue/FL-789 N.
Turn right on Gulfstream Avenue.
Proceed to John Ringling Boulevard.
Follow to St. Armand's Circle, and proceed one-quarter way around the circle.
Stay in the right lane and proceed onto FL-789 N. toward Longboat Key.
The hotel is located three miles ahead on the left.
Go through the guard gate and continue to the right.
Make a half circle until you reach the high-rise building.
The check-in desk is in the lobby of the high-rise building.
