The Roosevelt Inn B&B

This historic red brick former schoolhouse was built in 1905.  The Roosevelt has been completely remodeled and furnished with antiques throughout.  The beautiful red brick building with its steeple, shaded by maple trees, offers traditional elegance with modern comforts and warm hospitality. Two antique furnished parlors and dining area feature several lovely lead glass windows, and a hand painted mural welcomes you on the main floor. In addition, a winding rose mural runs up the wall along the original school staircase. There is a hot tub for 10 people and a sauna on the property as well.  A full gourmet breakfast, pleasing to the eye and satisfying to the tummy, is served each morning.


Each of the rooms are climate controlled for your comfort. All rooms have queen-sized beds, private baths and/or showers, and some rooms offer a view of the lake. In addition, all of the rooms are charmingly furnished with antiques.  Additionally, there are two-bedroom suites, which are ideal for family or group travelers. The inn also provides accessibility and customized accommodations for the physically challenged.

Area Activities

The Roosevelt Inn is located just a few blocks from Coeur d'Alene Lake, and only a short walk from all the activities that abound in this outdoor paradise. Sailing, water-skiing, fishing, jet skiing, parasailing, kayaking, biking, paddle boats, sea plane rides, boating and hiking the beautiful trails on tubs hill (just to mention a few).  For the winter enthusiast, there are several winter sport areas within easy commuting distance offering fine downhill skiing, cross-country and snowmobiling.  Ski packages (including transportation) are available.  The entire north shore of this world-class glacier made lake, (recognized by National Geographic as one of the top five most beautiful lakes in the world), is lined with city parks, beaches, the "World's Longest Floating Boardwalk", and walking/bike paths. Also within short walking distance is North Idaho College, The Courthouse, and a variety of restaurants, shops and specialty boutiques.

105 East Wallace, Coeur d'Alene, ID - From Spokane International Airport: Depart airport going northeast on West Airport Drive and then merge onto US- 2 East.  Merge onto I-90 East and continue for 33.1 miles.  Take the I-90- BR/Northwest Boulevard exit - EXIT 11 - toward City Center.  Turn right onto Northwest Boulevard/I-90 BR.  Turn slightly left onto North Government Way. Turn right onto East Wallace Avenue and continue until you reach the property.
