The Belle Aire Mansion is an 1836 Pre-Civil War, Federal style home, located on 11 well-groomed acres, featuring a barn, windmill and many beautiful trees and flowers perfect for romance and relaxation. They are just a short three minute drive from downtown Galena, the town that time forgot. For accommodations, there are two elegant suites and three cozy rooms, all with private baths. Early risers can enjoy an early morning coffee buffet, and each guest room has it's own jar of chocolate chip cookies. Guests are welcome to gather in the parlor to read, relax, or visit with other guests. Feel free to browse through our books and magazines, walk down a tamarack lined driveway, or just sit on the porch and enjoy the day. Enjoy the full country breakfast that is served every morning in the dining room and in the afternoon have some treats, which are always available including cookies, while mingling with other guests. The mansion is proud to offer satellite TV including the new Sirius Music Stations.  Enjoy the gardens in summer and fall and the beauty of winter snow as far as the eye can see.
The guest rooms are warm and inviting, furnished in antiques and reproductions. All guest rooms have a TV and VCR and the mansion has many video tapes for guests' enjoyment. Guests can also enjoy access to upper and lower balconies. All rooms have air-conditioning, an alarm clock radio, hair dryer, cable TV with VCR, and smoke detectors. Some rooms come with a fireplace to cozy up to, a whirlpool bath to soak in, and a refrigerator to keep all those goodies fresh. Guests will feel warm and at home in any of the guest rooms.

Experience "The Town Time Forgot" by visiting and sightseeing Galena, which is only two minutes away from the mansion. The town is known for its 19th century architecture and is the home of General Ulysses S. Grant. Walk historic streets and enter shops that are as unique as the town itself. Antiques, art galleries, candy stores, and herb shops are littered throughout the town. For outdoor activities, try biking, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, miniature golfing, and fishing. For water activities, try boating and kayaking and in the winter time have fun skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. Take a walk through galleries and museums that are in the town and shop at local shops. Visit a vineyard for some wine tasting, have a picnic lunch in a park, and fly through the sky in a hot air balloon. Stroll through Linmar Gardens, take a scenic drive through the rolling hills of Jo Daviess County, or take in a sunset overlooking the magnificent Mississippi River.
