Indianapolis: Arrival and information
Indianapolis International Airport (tel 317/487-9594) is twelve miles west of downtown, on the #8 bus route (tel 317/635-3344; $1). A taxi (Yellow Cabs; tel 317/487-7777) into the center costs around $27. Greyhound arrives at 127 N Capitol Ave (tel 1-800/231-2222), just off Monument Circle, while Amtrak, 350 S Illinois St (tel 317/267-3071), is next to the fairly central Union Station complex. The visitor center is at 201 S Capitol St (Mon-Fri 10am-5.30pm, Sat 10am-5pm, Sun noon-5pm; tel 317/237-5200 or 1-800/824-INDY, ), beside the RCA Dome.
