Location. The Cape Anne village of Rockport, Mass., serves as the setting for the Addison Choate Inn, located one-half mile from the Atlantic Ocean. This bed and breakfast is a quarter-mile walk to Rockport's Main Street, which follows the coastline and features art galleries, restaurants and specialty shops.
Hotel Features. This peach-colored Greek revival house has served as a bed and breakfast for almost 40 years. A complimentary breakfast is served in the dining room during the cool seasons and on the awning-shaded veranda in the warm weather. Full breakfast includes homemade baked goods, granola, fresh fruits, and hot dishes such as fruit cobbler, vegetable strata, frittata with herbs, and freshly ground coffee. A fireplace crackles during wintertime in both the living room and dining room. Concierge service for restaurant reservations, theater tickets, whale watching, and other area attractions and activities are provided, as well as train station pick-up (fees may apply).

Guestrooms. The guestrooms and suites at this bed and breakfast feature period antiques and wallpaper, and have their own motif and character. All rooms have private baths. The windows offer views of the city of Rockport. 100% Egyptian cotton bed linens sit atop feather beds with goose down blankets. Guest towels are fluffy and large, and terry bathrobes hang in each closet.

Expert Tip. The city of Rockport was "dry" from 1856 until April 19, 2005, when Rockport residents voted to end the 149-year ban. While many restaurants have a liquor license, many are still going through the process. In the meantime, guests can bring their own drinks to restaurants to enjoy with their meals.

From Logan International Airport:
When departing the airport take the ramp onto SR-1A (East Boston Expressway) towards RT-1A/Revere/Lynn.
Keep left onto local roads towards US-1 N/Saugus/N.H.-Maine.
The road name changes to SR-60.
At the roundabout, take the second exit onto SR-60 (Squire Rd).
At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto the ramp towards US-1/I-95/Saugus/N.H.-Maine.
Merge onto US-1 (Cutler Highway).
Continue for approximately seven miles, then keep right onto the ramp towards I-95/RT-128/Burlington/Gloucester.
Take the ramp left onto I-95 (SR-128) towards RT-128/Peabody/Gloucester.
Keep left onto SR-128 towards RT-128/Gloucester.
 Continue for approximately 20 miles, and turn left onto SR-127 (Eastern Ave).
Bear right onto SR-127 (Main St).
Turn right onto Broadway.
Continue for 1/10 mile to the Addison Choate Inn.
