Location. The Brampton Inn is located in Chestertown, Md., in an area that is said to contain the second highest number of 18th-century homes in the state. The city's downtown is one mile away, offering specialty and gift shops, antiques, art galleries, restaurants and historic homes overlooking the Chester River. Features. Built in 1860, this Greek Revival home is nestled on 20 wooded acres threaded with walking trails and flowering gardens. Complimentary full breakfasts featuring lemon ginger muffins and several varieties of pancakes are served each morning in the dining room. Afternoon tea is held every day, and features homemade treats including almond biscotti, cheddar-dill scones and bread pudding. The house is equipped with wireless Internet access. Guestrooms. The Brampton Inn offers seven guest accommodations in the main house and three units contained in two cottages.
