Location. Midway between Bozeman and Yellowstone National Park, the Cabins at Moonlight Mid-Mountain offer ski-in/ski-out accommodations in Big Sky, Mont. Positioned in the Gallatin Valley, the Big Sky Resort has become one of the most popular winter destinations in the country, and features 4,350-feet of vertical drop, the longest of any ski resort in the country. The Iron Horse chairlift is within yards of the accommodations and offer intermediate ski access. Skiing and snowboarding are big draws for the area, but plenty of recreational possibilities are available once the snow has melted. Golfing, biking, fishing and hiking are popular activities during summer months. Dozens of eateries and nightlife venues exist, as well as plenty of unique shops and galleries.

Hotel Features. The resort provides a shuttle to nearby Moonlight Lodge, which features an ice-skating rink, a spa, a fitness center, a lounge and retail shops. The Timbers Restaurant is also located at the lodge, offering an eclectic American/French/Asian fusion of cuisines and a large selection of fine wines, top shelf liquors and micro-brewed beers.

Guestrooms. Each of the two-bedroom, two-bathroom cabins feature kitchens with ranges, refrigerators and microwave ovens. Fireplaces, patios and jetted tubs are great for relaxing, and CD stereos, VCRs and cable television make for in-room entertainment. Dial-up Internet access is also standard.

Expert Tip. The Gallatin River, which runs close to the property, was the setting for the film A River Runs Through It.

Driving Directions - Cabins At Moonlight Mid-mountain

1 Mountain Loop Road, Big Sky, Mont.
From the Gallatin Field Bozeman Airport:
At the airport exit turn right to Belgrade.
Proceed 1.4 miles to the second stop sign
Turn left.
This road becomes Highway 191.
Take Highway 191 about 45 miles through the Gallatin Canyon to the flashing yellow light.
Turn right towards Big Sky.
Travel about 11 miles to Moonlight Basin Ranch.
Turn left at the log arch.
Follow Mountain Loop Road about 1 mile to the Moonlight Basin Lodge.
Please check in at the Moonlight Lodge at One Mountain Loop Road.
