Adobe & Pines Inn B&B

Luxurious, romantic and welcoming describe this beautiful 1830's adobe hacienda in a country setting.   Adobe & Pines Inn is centered around a more than 170-year-old adobe hacienda preserved with its original architectural elements and transformed into one of the most charming and luxurious hideaways in the Southwest.  Guests can relax while enjoying works of fine art by Taos artists, scenic country grounds and private patios for strolling and sitting, full gourmet breakfasts, and complimentary arrival refreshments.  Guests may also enjoy the Inn's book collection featuring Northern New Mexico works, music CDs including classical, jazz, Native American, Spanish and early cowboy music, an eclectic array of games, and views of Taos Mountain. The whispering of the stream traversed by the old stone bridge is a delight. Away from the busy sounds of the town, the stillness enfolds the old adobe in winter, while brilliant flowers and gentle breezes greet you in the spring.  Against the wondrous backdrop of the ever-changing color on Taos Mountain, enjoy the orchard with fruit trees and wild asparagus while breathing the fresh, clean air with the faint bouquet of pine and sweet grass.  Settle down in the sunroom in front of the wood-burning stove, which overlooks the flagstone courtyard. Read or nap in a hammock under a 100-year-old pine tree for a moment or two, or find your own quiet spot to get away and slow down. Surrounded by nature's beauty, there is a quality of relaxation and casual elegance to the Adobe & Pines Inn, where the beauty of nature, old world charm, and warm hospitality come together.

Area Activities

Taos is actually a blend of several close-knit communities that, together, provide visitors with a world of infinitely varied experiences.  Visit Taos Pueblo, an ancient living Indian village that has stood unchanged for centuries.  Explore historic Taos Plaza and its side streets; many of the old adobe buildings there that now house shops and galleries were once the homes of some of Taos' leading citizens.  If the outdoors intrigues you, set off on a mountain trail on skis, horseback, bike, or your own two feet. Ride the rapid Rio Grande in a raft or kayak.  With four seasons and five life zones, your recreational options are wide open.  Native American, Spanish, and Anglo cultures are proudly preserved through art and architecture, music and dance, and food and festivals for all to enjoy throughout the year.
