One block west of Mott is Mulberry Street, where, at no. 70, you'll find the double red doors of the community center right on the corner. Two floors up lies the tiny, but fascinating, Museum of Chinese in the Americas dedicated to documenting the experiences of Chinese immigrants in the Americas as well as reclaiming and preserving Chinese history in the West. The displays include Chinese photographs and cultural memorabilia; temporary exhibits of Asian American art; and the museum also offers historical group tours of Chinatown ($10, three weeks advance booking required).
