Back over the West Side Highway and along 22nd Street are the galleries and warehouse spaces that house one of New York's most vibrant art scenes . You'll find an especially strong presence along West 22nd Street between Tenth and Eleventh avenues. The Dia Center for the Arts , a Chelsea pioneer, with space here since 1987, has its main exhibition gallery at 548 W 22nd St, featuring a dramatic open-air space on top.
