New York City: La Guardia
New York Airport Service buses run between Manhattan (Grand Central Station and Port Authority Bus Terminal) and La Guardia every fifteen to thirty minutes either way. The service operates 6am to midnight (to Grand Central and Port Authority), 5am to 10pm (from Grand Central), 6.40am to 9pm (from Port Authority). Buses also run to Penn Station from 6.40am to 11.40pm every thirty minutes, 10 and 40 after the hour; from Penn Station, 7.40am to 8.10pm same time-scale as above. Journey time is 45 to sixty minutes, depending on traffic, and the fare is $10 (students $6) each way. For details on services, discounts, etc call 212/875-8200.The best (and least-known) bargain in New York airport transit is the #M60 bus, which for $1.50 takes you into Manhattan, across 125th Street and down Broadway to 106th Street. Ask for a transfer when you get on the bus and you can get almost anywhere. Journey time ranges from twenty minutes late at night to an hour in rush-hour traffic
