Location. The Saratoga Farmstead B&B is located in a rural setting two-and-one-half miles from the center of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., known for its thoroughbred racetrack, Victorian architecture, and mineral springs and spas. The Saratoga Performing Arts Center is three miles away. Skidmore College and the National Museum of Racing are less than four miles from the property. The Home Made Theater and Saratoga Racetrack are four miles from inn.
Features. This historic farmhouse is set on 10 acres, with walking trails cut through the pastures and gardens. The character of this 1780s home was retained with its original pine plank flooring, oak paneling and oversized windows that fill the rooms with natural light. The mix of antique and eclectic furnishings, books, art and artifacts reflect the charm of this home. Complimentary home-cooked breakfasts are served each morning in the breakfast room or on the deck, with views of the fields and gardens. Herbs, vegetables and edible flowers are harvested from the farm's organic crops. Complimentary beverages and snacks are offered in the parlor throughout the day. Lunch and dinner are available upon request for a fee. Fax and photocopy services, and complimentary dial-up Internet access are available. The front porch offers rocking chairs, wind chimes and views of the farmstead. An outdoor deck features tables and chairs with market umbrellas. The front parlor offers antique furniture, a Victorian gas stove and an antique pump organ. Pets are not allowed at this property.
