The Cincinnati side of the Ohio River has been a mess recently, due to the massive redevelopment project underway to build two new stadia for the Bengals and the Reds. But just to the east, the riverside takes on a greater serenity - the mile-long
riverside walk
begins near the stadium at
Public Landing
, at the bottom of Broadway. The cobbled wharf here, on the original site of the city, is a great place to take a look at immaculately painted showboats and other river craft. Nearby,
Bicentennial Commons
was a two-hundredth-birthday present from the city to itself in 1988.
