Tulsa: Arrival, information and getting around
Tulsa International Airport (tel 918/838-5000) lies a few minutes by cab ($20) east of downtown. Hwy-169 from Kansas City skirts its east side; I-44, which gives access from the south, is also the main route east-west across town. Greyhound comes in downtown at 317 S Detroit Ave. The CVB , 616 S Boston Ave (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm; tel 918/585-1201 or 1-800/558-3311, ), provides information on a self-guided walking tour of downtown, as well as local bus schedules; services operate between 5am and 8.30pm, with no Sunday service ($1, transfers 5ยข). Web surfers can visit the Public Library at 400 Civic Center, or S chlotzsky's Deli at 3348 S Peoria Ave, for free internet access.
