If you could build a wild, scenic park, tailor-made for recreation, you couldn't do better than Smith Rock State Park nor the entire region around Bend, Oregon.  Climbing, fly-fishing, hiking, mountain biking - pick your sport.  The region boasts high cliffs, great rivers, beautiful vistas, and hard and fast singletrack (as well as excellent skiing in the winter). The resort looks out over the Deschutes River.  As you relax on your private deck, watch for eagles.  You may see one drop from the sky to pluck a trout from the water.  On site recreation includes basketball, bike rentals, golf, hiking, racquetball, tennis and more.

1522 Cline Falls Road, Redmond, OR - From Portland Airport (PDX):Take I-5 South towards Portland.  Take the I-205/Salem exit and continue south to I- 84 East.  Then take US-26/Gresham exit.  Continue east on US-26 over Mt. Hood.  At Madras take US-27 south to Redmond.  In Redmond turn right on Highland/Hwy 126/Sisters.  Continue West 5 miles taking the first right past the overpass.  This will take you across the overpass and onto Cline Falls Highway.  Follow the signs to the Inn at Eagle Crest (approximately 1 mile).
