Location. Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., Laurel Crest is within driving distance to the many attractions of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, including Dollywood, Rainbow Country Jamboree, and the Dixie Stampede. All are within five miles of the resort. Skiers and snowboarders may want to head to the Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort, and there is hiking and biking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, each just a thirteen-mile drive.
Hotel Features. Laurel Crest is set against a backdrop of the mountains, and is surrounded by landscaped grounds. Two outdoor hot tubs have snow-capped mountain views, and bird-watching is a popular pastime from the resort's wraparound clubhouse deck.  There are activities for kids year-round at this resort, with possibilities ranging from pool parties in the summer to theme parties for the holidays. While kids often keep busy at the playground or in the game room, adults are often found buried in a book in the reading lounge, swimming laps in the indoor pool, or working up a sweat in the fitness center and sauna.

Guestrooms. The 75 units at the Laurel Crest include townhomes and villas, all featuring a balcony terrace. Fully-equipped kitchens make self-catering easy and inexpensive. Cable TV, VCRs, and CD players are all included. Some units have a fireplace in the living room and a standard or whirlpool tub in the main bathroom.

Expert Tip. Pigeon Forge is home to numerous outlet stores, making it a popular southern shopping destination. Bell Tower Square, the South's largest year-round Christmas village, is less than two miles from the resort.

From McGhee Tyson Airport:
Take US-129 towards Maryville/Alcoa and go east for 400 feet.
Turn right on US-129, TN-115 and go south for one mile.
Bear left on ramp at sign reading "Maryville/Townsend/Smoky Mts and US-411 N/US-321 N" and go Southeast for 0.3 miles.
Continue on TN-35 and go southeast for 2.5 miles.
Continue on Washington St and go Southeast for 1000 feet.
Turn left on US-321, TN-73 and go east for 31 miles to the resort.
