The Lockheart Gables Romantic B&B is located in Fort Worth, Texas approximately two miles from the cultural district, renowned for its museums, including the Kimbell Art Museum, Amon Carter Museum, The New Modern Art Museum, and the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. The bed and breakfast is four miles from the Stockyards National Historic District and downtown Sundance Square.
Features. Built in 1893, the Lockheart Gables Romantic B&B was designed by acclaimed English architect Arthur Albert Messer for his family. This historic mansion features a common sitting room with a fireplace and an outdoor sundeck. Full, complimentary breakfasts are delivered to the guestrooms each morning. Afternoon tea, coffee, lemonade and cookies are offered each day. Lunch and dinner are available upon request for a fee. A video library is provided. Pets are not allowed at this property.
Guestrooms. Three guestrooms are located in the mansion. Two 19th-century, three-room stone cottages, formerly the carriage house and servant's quarters, are also available. Personalized heart-shaped cookies and special arrival drinks are provided in the guestrooms and cottages. All accommodations offer heart-shaped jetted tubs for two, candles, fresh flowers and terry-cloth bathrobes. Cable television, VCRs, DVD players and CD players are provided. The three-room Victorian stone Beloved Cottage an ornate mahogany bed, draped with a lace canopy, flowers and ribbons, and an antique sofa. The cottage is decorated pink and gold. A covered porch with a swing and a patio are available. The cottages feature remote-controlled fireplaces. Expert Tip. The nearby Kimbell Art Museum features a terracotta relief attributed to the Italian Renaissance master Donatello.
