The Gruene Mansion Inn is located in a historical complex in the community of Gruene, three miles from downtown New Braunfels, Texas. The whole town is a historical landmark, registered with the National Registry of Historic Places. The inn rests on the banks of the Guadalupe River adjacent to Gruene Hall, which claims to be the oldest continuously running dance hall in the state. Downtown Gruene offers small stores selling antiques, clothes, handmade furniture and pottery and home furnishings, all within one-quarter mile of the inn.
This inn is comprised of several historical buildings. The centerpiece of the complex is H.D. Gruene's Victorian home, built on a bluff overlooking the Guadalupe River. Full, complimentary breakfasts, including several hot items, pastries, breads, fruit, premium orange juice and coffee, are available to take onto the patio, in various places in the mansion, or in the guestrooms. A corporate meeting room includes complimentary wireless Internet access, audiovisual equipment (including video projector) and food and beverage services for a fee. A gift shop is available.

Guest accommodations at Gruene Mansion Inn occupy restored original 1870's outbuildings and barns from Mr. Gruene's cotton plantation. Guestrooms feature private entrances, private bathrooms and porches. All quarters were individually refurbished in "Victorian Rustic Elegance," characterized by a combination of fine fabrics, wall coverings and antique furnishings. Select rooms feature sitting areas with gas fireplaces, claw-foot soaking tubs and spiral staircases.
