Grandma's Cottage Bed and Breakfast is nestled between the north and south branches of the Shenandoah River in the Civil War village of Port Republic, Va. The inn is less than three miles from Grand Caverns Regional Park. Harrisonburg, Va. is 10 miles west of the property. The Massanetta Resort & Ski Lodge, Civil War museums and battlefields, Shenandoah and Dayton Farmers Markets, and antique shops are within 15 miles.
This 1892 Victorian home features three porches with white wicker furniture and rocking chairs, and colorful country gardens. Complimentary country breakfasts are served each morning in the cottage and the dining room of the main house. The inn uses the freshest ingredients, including thick slabs of Virginia bacon or ham, home-grown produce and fresh-laid eggs from the inn's hens. Coffee, tea, homemade lemonade, hot chocolate, soft drinks and homemade cookies are available throughout the day. Dinner is available for a fee. The inn offers a computer station with complimentary Internet access and photocopy service. Books, magazines, brochures and a video library are available. In-room deep-tissue and Swedish massages are offered for a fee. One of the rooms in the main house is home to a train collection, with select items available for purchase.  Children are welcome at this bed and breakfast, which offers ice cream for dessert, and provides a playhouse and toys.
