Location. The Deer Brook Inn is located in Woodstock, Vt., five miles west of the town's village green. The Billings Farm and Museum, Vermont Institute of Natural Science and Calvin Coolidge Homestead are less than eight miles from the inn. The bed and breakfast is positioned ten miles east of Killington Ski Area's "skyeship" gondola.
Features. This renovated 1820s farmhouse is surrounded by five acres of lawns, woods and gardens. The inn provides complimentary three-course candlelit breakfasts, including fresh fruit, home-baked goods and a hot entrée, each morning. Breakfasts are prepared using fresh local ingredients, such as organic eggs from a neighbor's farm and summer berries collected on the inn's hillside. The bed and breakfast offers a living room with a fireplace and cable television. Pets are not allowed at this property.

Guestrooms. The Deer Brook Inn offers five guest accommodations showcasing original honey pine floors, antiques and original artwork. The main floor suite and four upstairs guestrooms feature private bathrooms. Beds are topped with handmade quilts. The first-floor suite includes a private sitting room with a sofa bed, wing chair, cable television and a VCR. Select rooms offer views of the Ottauqueechee River or Green Mountains. Expert Tip. Legend has it the original owners of this 1820s farmhouse remained loyal to the British after the Revolutionary War, and following numerous run-ins with angry locals, made a hasty departure in the dark of night.
