The park headquarters are at Mammoth Hot Springs , near the north entrance (daily: June-Sept daily 8am-7pm; Oct-May 9am-5pm; tel 307/344-2263). Tune into 1610 AM for weather information, and consult the free newspaper Yellowstone Today for activities and current regulations. Other, summer-only visitor centers are located approximately every twenty miles along the main Loop Road . Excellent National Park Service leaflets (50ยข each), which can be found at major sights as well as visitor centers, cover the important landmarks, marking trails and points of interest.
